Eight Checks for an Ultrasonic Diffuser That Is Not Misting
Work through these checks in order. Changing several variables at once makes it harder to identify the actual fault and delightfully easy to create a second one.
Confirm that it is an ultrasonic water-tank diffuser

The Diffuser May Be Working Even When the Mist Is Hard to See

What Should You Do If a Diffuser Leaks or Water Enters the Base?
Disconnect power immediately. Overfilling, tipping, incorrect drainage, condensation or a damaged tank can move water into an air channel or electrical compartment.
